Principal

Niki Seley

Principal

Hello!

I’m Niki Seley, Principal of Vernon Middle School. I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I am a lifetime resident of Washington County. I attended Vernon Elementary School, Vernon Middle School, and Vernon High School. I was very involved around campus in softball and band. I graduated from Vernon in 1991 as a third generation Vernon High School graduate. I have a bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Math from Chipola College and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida.

Family is very important to me. I am married to the love of my life, Allen, and we have a son, Sy, and a daughter-in-law, Kacy. I am active in Courts of Praise church where I volunteer with Courts of Praise Youth and am a member of the praise and worship team. I enjoy spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, and camping. Last but not least, I am a Vernon Yellow Jacket to my core. Any given day, you’ll find me cheering on the Vernon Jackets at sporting events.

Educating and leading today’s youth is truly my life passion. I believe ALL students can learn and ALL students can experience success within a safe and nurturing environment. My goal for Vernon Middle School is to create a culture of positivity and excellence to propel our students towards meeting their full potential. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead our school in this direction.

Sincerely,

Niki Seley, Principal

Teacher on Special Assignment

Brian Tice

Assistant Principal
Hi, I'm Brian Tice, Teacher on Special Assignment at Vernon Middle School.
I have been an educator for 19 years, 10 as a classroom teacher, 2 as a district resource teacher, and 7 as a school administrator. I am a proud father of two wonderful daughters and have lived here in Washington County for the last 16 years with my wonderful wife, Liza, who is also an educator. Outside of education, my passion is music. I'm very active in my church worship ministry and enjoy my free time playing music with my friends.
My mantra has always been, "my job is to make your job easier". This has rang true in every aspect of my career as both a teacher and an administrator.
I'm incredibly excited to be a part of the VMS family and I look forward to working with our staff, students, and community to keep Vernon Middle the best it can possibly be.
